Worship

Worship plays an important role in God's Embassy Amsterdam. We focus on joyfully celebrating God's goodness and who He is. This is the reason, we call our meetings celebrations and not services.

Worship is not a precursor to the sermon, nor is it a singing service, but it is a key component of the celebration. This worship includes many forms of expression such as music, dance, flags, and art.

Every month there is a special evening where the Holy Spirit is given free reign: Sound of the Spirit.

Prayer

Prayer has occupied an important place from the start of God's Embassy. Before the first celebration began on Sunday, January 9, 2005, it was preceded by 14 months of intensive weekly prayer.

Prayer has always been a common theme in the story of God's Embassy. A few prayer initiatives are listed below.

  • Before each celebration there is a time of intercessory prayer specifically focused on the many facets of the celebration. This prayer time is open to all.
  • Every Monday evening there is prayer via Zoom in which prayer is offered for the congregation and for other relevant matters.
  • Every Thursday there is a hybrid prayer time. Meeting physically at the Dominion Center (DCHOP) and by hem.
  • A group of intercessors prays regularly for the congregation. This group meets monthly, after a Sunday celebration, to receive instruction and information, as well as to share thoughts, revelations and prayer insights. This is basically a private group, but if you are a member of Embassy and would like to participate in this, please send a request to participate to [email protected]
  • There is also a crisis prayer team. This team is called in for life-threatening situations in the immediate family sphere of church members. In case of a crisis, this can be made known via an email to [email protected]. You may also make this known via phone or WhatsApp to one of the Embassy staff. In principle, the team will pray for this crisis for 24 hours.
  • Periods of prayer and fasting are held in January and August. Each period has a theme and Bible texts are selected for each day based on which to pray. During this period there is a hybrid prayer meeting every evening: via Zoom and in person in the DCHOP. The texts, dates and zoom link will be announced in advance in the weekly news flash. Everyone is welcome to participate in this.
  • From time to time, extra (night) prayer meetings are organized. Many already for a specific purpose. Check the events page for dates and times.

Father Heart School

The basis of our identity is the love of God our Father so that we can live as sons and daughters of Him.

We usually know this with our heads but it has not always sunk 40 cm to our hearts. The Fatherheart schools with David & Faith Dalley have proven very effective for experiencing the love of God the Father to strengthen our identity in Him.

These are schools for everyone. You don't have to be in trouble or have big issues to participate. None of us has had a perfect father. None of us can say I've had enough Father love now! We are all in the process all our lives of allowing more of His love to become a reality in our lives.

Several schools are organized each year. These are announced through the news flash and can then be found on the events page.

Deliverance

The slogan of God's Embassy is "Become all you're meant to be! This is not just any slogan. It reflects exactly what we are passionate about: helping every Christian find his or her destiny. However, the process to this destination is a road with many bumps, obstacles and challenges and endless character building.

Deliverance is an integral part of this discipleship process in order to clear demonic bumps and blockages. The ministry of deliverance is carried out by the Living in Your Destiny foundation. This foundation, like God's Embassy Amsterdam, is part of the apostolic center By Design.

Evangelism

The good news that God gives hope, life and perspective needs to be heard by everyone. God created each person with a destiny and through Jesus each can discover this destiny and walk in it.

Each month there is an outreach with training and preparation. Then teams led by the Holy Spirit take to the streets.

Occasional evangelistic campaigns are held. Dates and times can be found on the events page.

Connect

We were created to have relationships with each other. Connecting with each other is essential for our growth and mental health. Connecting is also fun!

There are some connect groups. However, most connections are made in the ministry teams. These range from hospitality and hosting to worship and deliverance.

Pastorate and diaconate

Sometimes there are bumps in life that are actually difficult to take alone. Within the apostolic center By Design, there are many tools to take the bumps such as deliverance, LifeChanging Prayer (LCP), Restoring the Foundations.(RTF). These tools are extremely powerful and effective.

But sometimes these tools are insufficient and a personal approach is desired. Listening, counseling and prayer are the main features of our personal pastorate. Pastoral care is intended only for church members. A pastoral and diaconal team is available. If necessary, referrals will be made to professional counselors.

Next step for new believers

Especially for young Christians who want to grow in their walk with God. The Next Step team welcomes young believers each week to talk together and discover more about life as a Christian.

Dates and times are on the events page.

WoW - young adults

WoW stands for Ways of Wisdom, which comes from the biblical book of Proverbs.

This book is full of wisdom. The 1st nine chapters are written especially for young adults. A Life in the World without God teaches us such things as:
Being financially successful as quickly as possible.
Fast sex, Short relationships, Wrong friends
But..., that's not how life works.

Money is secondary to wisdom. Proverbs speaks clearly about it.

WoW wants to acquaint young adults with their Heavenly Father! God is all about the heart! God is personal and created you before the foundation of the world. If your identity is in Him, then you will become truly wise and will be an impact in your environment.

Every 4th Sunday of the month, WoW meets in the RED room at the Dominion Center. Age 18-25+. Check the events page for the latest news.

Men

The men's group focuses on masculine themes and offers a program that will help men shed the mask, leave their own ego behind and embrace the true essence of being a man.

The men's group is all about growth, self-discovery and cultivating better relationships. This is in the belief that when men are given the space to clear their emotional clutter and find their true gold, they not only have a positive impact on themselves, but also on those around them. Whether it's fatherhood, partnership or collegiality, we want every man to become the best version of himself.

Basically, the men meet every 2nd Thursday of the month. Walk-in is from 7pm and it starts at 7:30pm. Regular events for men are organized. Keep the events page watching for the latest news and dates and times.

Women

Women within God's Embassy Amsterdam occupy a full place. The emphasis is on developing each woman's potential, talents and calling.

Regular events are organized for the women that support and encourage their development.

Keep an eye on the events page for the latest news and dates and times.

Babies and toddlers

There is a nursery for the smallest children ages 0-4. It is important that children even or this young age hear about God the Father, Jesus the Son and about the Holy Spirit. This lays a healthy foundation for their growth.

Crèche is held once every 2 weeks. Dates are listed in the news flash.

Children - Glory Kidz

Every Sunday, elementary school age children gather together. These Glory Kidz are taught and helped to discover who God is and to understand what the Lord Jesus did and to learn how to interact with the Holy Spirit.

The Glory Kidz are divided into 2 groups: junior and senior. Both groups have their own program.

Teens - RED

High school age youth face enormous challenges. This RED generation needs a place where they can connect and ask questions. A place where they are encouraged and challenged to make good choices.

The RED teens meet the first and third Sundays of the month during the celebration.

Alpha Course

Alpha is a great way to discover more about the Christian faith. Approachable, informative and fun. More than 300,000 people in the Netherlands have already participated. The course is for people who have just been converted and for people who want to learn more about the Christian faith.
